New Experiences to Have in Las Vegas, Nevada!
The Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada is a vibrant city with so much going on it can be overstimulating. Since our last trip 6 or 7 years ago, so many new attractions and experiences have emerged so we had to make a part 2 to our Vegas bucket list. Thanks to last minute flight and hotel deals, we booked a quick weekend getaway to see what’s new in Sin City. Here’s the top 10 best things to do in Las Vegas in 2026 beyond just gambling or clubbing!
10. Mob Museum
Need a break from all the debauchery of the Strip? Then head to the Mob Museum for a historical insight into America’s crime-ridden past. This museum is located in a 1933 federal courthouse right by Fremont Street and has over 3 floors of interactive exhibits, interesting artifacts like Al Capone’s pistol and the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre wall, and an underground Prohibition-era speakeasy with live music.
9. The 7 Magic Mountains
If you love looking at rocks, then this next one is perfect for you. The Seven Magic Mountains is a famous art instillation about 25miles out of the city designed by the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It is meant to elicit the continuity and solidarity between artificial and natural constructs. Each of the stacks of boulders stand around 30ft and are painted in vibrant hues that contrast the surrounding Mojave desert. Unless you’re on a road trip, the best way to see this work of art is on a half day hidden gem tour from Las Vegas.
8. The Neon Museum
Another hidden gem of Northern Downtown Vegas is the Neon Museum. This nostalgic museum is pretty much a sign graveyard, showcasing vibrant billboards & signs of forgotten casinos from bygone eras. The Neon Museum is open daily from 8pm – 12am which makes it perfect for viewing at night. It’s a bit pricey but still cool if you’re looking for something different in Las Vegas.
7. The Sphere
The newest addition to the Las Vegas Skyline is the mighty Sphere, which is a music and entertainment arena with a changing facade that is fun to look at. You can choose to catch a concert or settle for watching The Wizard of Oz as an immersive movie experience. Tickets are expensive but you can feel wind effects, light displays and maybe catch a foam apple if you’re lucky enough!
6. Infinity Museum
The Infinity Museum takes you on a journey to the edge of the Universe in a dazzling, interactive digital art experience featuring 7 distinct rooms and the world’s largest kaleidoscope. The mirror and light infused rooms are an awe-inspiring way to escape that Las Vegas heat. While it is very similar to the Team Lab Planets in Tokyo, the Infinity Museum is much smaller. It is a bit expensive (around $40), but should only take about 1 hour to get through.
5. Fremont Street Experience
In the heart of downtown Las Vegas you’ll find the 2nd most famous street in Nevada, Fremont Street. The Fremont Street experience is a 1,400ft long LED canopy covered pedestrian area known for its rowdy atmosphere and party vibes. There is also the infamous Slotzilla zipline overhead which you can try for an exorbitant fee. The street is lined with famous casinos that are much cheaper for gambling than the strip though.
4. Walk the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd)
If you’re looking to go all across the world in just one place then the Las Vegas Strip is perfect. Las Vegas Blvd is a 4mile long street with familiar casinos & resorts inspired by iconic destinations across the globe such as Egypt, Paris, New York City, Venice, and more! 3. Watch a Cirque du Soleil Show
Las Vegas is known for its high quality shows, and perhaps the best of them are at Cirque du Soleil. These include a variety of theatrical acrobatic performances that represent the pinnacle of human expression. Cirque du Soleil is the world’s largest contemporary circus producer on Earth. We saw the notorious “O” and were thoroughly impressed.
2. Visit the Hoover Dam
Nevada is more than just the flashy Las Vegas Casinos and resorts, it is also home to one of the greatest engineering marvels of American history, the Hoover Dam. This monumental dam is over 720ft tall and was once the tallest dam in the world during its construction in 1936. It supplies over 16million people with water and electricity across the states of Nevada, Arizona, and California and even created Lake Mead, one of the largest man made reservoirs in the world. The best way to experience the Hoover Dam is on a day tour from the city. The top view of the dam happens to be from the Memorial Bridge Overlook, which connects the 2 states of Nevada and Arizona.
1. Meow Wolf Omega Mart
If you love inter-dimensional cosmic art experiences as much as us, then the Meow Wolf Omega Mart needs to be at the top of your Las Vegas Bucket list. Being the 2nd instillation after the Meow Wolf House of Eternal Return, Omega Mart takes you to an unassuming grocery store filled with bizarre products. But upon further inspection, you realize something is awry and quickly step through portals to psychedelic worlds beyond imagination in hopes of uncovering the narrative of Dramcorp. It does get a bit crowded, but there is a never ending amount of rooms to explore so its easy to spend 4 or 5 hours inside. Almost all the eccentric products inside are for sale so you can also bring back some unique souvenirs. The Omega Mart is located inside the immersive warehouse of Area 15, where you can find all sorts of VR and hi-tech simulators to enjoy.
Las Vegas may seem like an overpriced adult Disneyland at times, but there are still some fun experiences to have. Despite having a reputation for gambling and clubbing, those seeking to enjoy some shows and interactive exhibits still have a lot of options to choose from.
