How I became a Digital Nomad
My life has always been an adventure. At a very young age, I discovered I get bored easily so a few years back I discovered the term Multi-potentialities. If I am no longer challenged while learning something new, I often search for more interesting passions.
This is similar for my professional path. I worked for a large multinational corporation for over 5 years. I eventually got to a point where I felt stagnant and was eager to learn more. In between I became very ill from being a workaholic, and I was’t able to manage my stress levels. It was such a wake up call! My soul searching inevitably lead me to my continuous self-improvement, not just as a human being but as a spiritual entity.
After such a transformational life experience, I had the opportunity to have long moments of solitude and self-reflection; questioning where my life was headed. My journey continued on cultivating and exploring myself, and one day I had a powerful breakthrough. My life purpose had naturally and beautifully unfolded itself. The pieces of the puzzle were coming together.
I began pursuing my life through a spiritual & intuitive coaching career, and it has been flowing ever since. I always try to remain in the moment, and enjoy every single step along the way. Everyone has a story to tell , and holding the space for my clients is a huge satisfaction for me. I feel part of a big self-transformation process, just as I experienced myself.
Being a nomad means you don’t have an established place, and the digital aspect conducts everything through technology. A Digital Nomad has the ability to earn a living working in remote areas using the internet. I should say it hasn’t been an overnight success or a light decision. As human beings we go through different emotional, physical , and mental stages in life.
Putting aside fear of the unknown plays a big role in taking the big step toward challenging the status quo. Even while knowing success is not guaranteed.
How to Transition into a Digital Nomad
Each experience is different, and it will depend on what you are looking for in life. Sometimes we need to let go of things and people that are dear to our hearts for growth, and pursue the next step on our path.
Be patient with the process. It’s not an overnight thing. Being a nomad requires more work than a regular job because we are creating and shaping our dreams and goal from scratch. However, there is also the option to find a job anywhere you have internet access.
In my case, I decided to pursue a Life Coaching career, so I have prepared myself with multiple lessons from Self-Empowerment, Emotional Management, and Neuro-linguistic Programming certifications. When you are a self-taught the process is fascinating, but it can take longer. I am okay with it because that curiosity keeps me excited and moving towards my life’s purpose.
While transitioning into a digital nomad, it is important to consider your support system. even if someone on it is not on board with the crazy journey you are about to take. Our society has a very traditional professional path, so it is not easy for previous generations to sometimes understand the lifestyle shift. Especially since success is considered money based. My reality of success is the ability to live life to the fullest while navigating the tidal waves it comprises of.
Why Nomad?
Becoming a digital nomad is my life’s purpose. Every single land that I touched and will touch becomes part of my spiritual and transformational journey. I am designed to move from one place to another to achieve my ultimate goal in life. Through my life experiences, I can achieve the emotional, physical, and mental emancipation while healing others along their own journey.
