Top Experiences on the Illustrious Island of Ibiza
Ibiza is Spain’s notorious nightlife destination nestled in the Mediterranean Sea. Each summer, thousands of tourists flock here to party until the break of dawn. Also known was the White Isle, Ibiza is famous for its internationally acclaimed DJs and luxurious resorts. Whether you’re planning a day trip or a night out, many interesting experiences await. Here are the best things to do in Ibiza and some tips for planning the perfect trip.
Transportation
Getting to Ibiza might be the cheapest part of the journey. The island is ridiculously expensive so be prepared to spend a ton if you want to enjoy the luxurious side. Flying into the island is super cheap (less than $50 USD from Valencia or Barcelona) or you can take a ferry. Getting around the island can be complicated since there are no Ubers. There are buses that circumvent the island or you can call a taxi to get around quicker.
Accommodations
Hotels on the island are not cheap, especially if you want to stay in the popular areas like Ibiza Town or by the beaches. We Stayed at the Fergus Style Bahamas for a night and it was around $260. It was a 5min walk from Platja d’en Bossa and the biggest nightclub on Ibiza plus had a free breakfast buffet which was great.
Ibiza Beaches
The beaches on Ibiza are some of the best in the world and there’s plenty to choose from. Platja d’en Bossa is one of the most popular stretches of sands with an array of beach clubs and bars. Cala d’Hort makes for the perfect viewing point of the Es Verda rock and Playa Formentera is a gorgeous white sanded beach on an even smaller island. However, lounging on the beach can be expensive with sunbeds costing over $100 and drinks & food also being exorbitantly priced. Nightlife
Reveling in the epic nighlife of Ibiza is the main allure for most tourists. Usually travelers head to one of the large club venues to check out their favorite EDM headliners before going out all night. We saw the DJ Martin Garrix at Ushuaia for $80 each. Most clubs start opening at 11pm and don’t shut down until past 6am. You can bar hop in Ibiza Town or pay for one of the bigger clubs like Hi Ibiza, Amnesia, Pacha. Considering the beef between the Ibiza and Mykonos nightlife scene, both are top tier party destinations.

- Take a Ferry to Playa Formentera
